If you haven't watched To All The Boys I've Loved on Netflix yet, I have no idea what you are doing with your life.
Just kidding. The move was just so cute and I'm in love with the aesthetic of the film plus ALL of Lara Jean's outfits. Her wardrobe is seriously goals. It doesn't help that this film was edited with an "Instagram filter" so everything looks dreamy and vintage.
I decided to go through the film and screenshot as many of LJ's outfits as I could to compile a lookbook or reference for anyone who wants to try and achieve her look as well. I aspire to dress like her this coming fall.
The movie starts out with LJ in a colorful stripe shirt under some black overalls. (Well, technically it was a red dress but she was also imagining it so it isn't really part of her closet). Stripe shirts are pretty common and you can find them easily on Forever 21, Charlotte Russe or Target. Overalls are a little harder to find but here's one in stock at Asos.I adore colorful stripes and it has been trending recently so this outfit is a perfect idea on how to wear them. She matched them with some pink socks and sports shoes.
In one of the flashbacks to when Margo and Josh were dating, LJ layers an anorak jacket over a plaid shirt. Can I say, those space buns look adorable on her.
In the movie scene, she's wearing a polka dot shirt and mustard beret. I can't help but feel like she's wearing a red tennis or skater skirt with this outfit.
On the day of Margo's departure, Lara Jean wears a colorful stripe turtleneck sweater with a button down denim skirt. These denim skirts have been quite trendy over the past couple of years and you can easily find them on Forever 21, Charlotte Russe or Pacsun.Honestly, any colorful stripe top would go great with such skirts but here's one you can find on Forever 21.
On her first day back at school, LJ wears a grey shirt underneath a cropped plaid shirt that is tied at her waist. Her shorts are khaki colored double-breasted sailor shorts.
To complete it, she has maroon knee high socks and black lace up combat boots with a little chunky heel. I adore this style of combat boots and I cannot understand how Gen can make fun of them while she's wearing Uggs lol.
In this scene, LJ is wearing her school PE shirt and marled grey leggings with a mesh panel. There are a bunch of affordable options from Forever 21 and H&M but can we just appreciate how cute this PE shirt is? Like whose PE shirt is actually this shade of yellow with white hems? Also, can this school bathroom get any more aesthetic?
This is one of my favorite looks. It features a white mock neck knitted top and maroon button down corduroy skirt paired with high top Converse sneakers. Also, I wish I had a bicycle like that.
Upon closer look, the ribbing on the shirt actually runs sideways and such as well.
We don't really get a clear shot of her outfit here but LJ is wearing a short sleeved hooded shirt with a rose embroidered on the chest. It's totally cute.
She matches it with some checkered/houndstooth(?) shorts and fishnet socks.
Back at school, she's got a tropical printed floral dress and a pink bomber jacket. The dress looks like something out of Urban Outfitters but I'm like 99% sure I'm wrong.
We only get a glimpse of the shoes and socks she wears with this look when she turns around to walk out of the field. I can't quite make out what they are but it looks like sparkly gold oxfords.
I wish they showed more of this outfit because I have a soft spot for anything pink. She seems to be wearing a pink trench coat or blazer with a grey shirt here and a choker necklace. I imagine she'd pair it with a dark green plaid tennis skirt, knee high socks and the combat boots. This isn't my favorite look but the cardigan is cute. I remember seeing something of similar style in Zara, but in a totally different color. This outfit was pretty simple. The cardigan was the main pop of color in the look with a dark grey shirt and dark blue skinny jeans.
Over here, she's wearing a pink shirt and loose baby blue short-alls. She's also wearing this in the baking scene.
I love the jacket LJ wears here. It's a pretty baby blue satin bomber jacket with embroidered roses on the sleeves. I can imagine Stradivarius or Bershka having something similar during fall/winter.
Underneath is a black skater dress with a peter pan collar.
During her visit to Peter's house, LJ wears a grid blouse under a maroon cardigan.
She matched it with a denim skirt but I can see a black skater skirt working with this outfit as well.
Under the bleachers, LJ wears a maroon anorak jacket with loose flowing lapels over a shirt with bows on them. The shirt is not my fave but it does incorporate elements that are very Korean-ish.She also has medium blue jeans with some rips and black Doc Martens.
This scene doesn't really show much of her outfit but she had a black lace bomber jacket with a scarf.
Under that, is a fitted pink shirt and maroon velvet maxi skirt. I think this was my first time seeing a velvet maxi skirt.
On her way to the ski trip, LJ wore dark grey mock neck sweater and dark blue skinny jeans. She kept it really simple underneath her red pea coat with toggle buttons. I don't even wear red but she makes me feel like going out to get a red coat.
On the way back from the ski trip, LJ wears this adorable blouse with a tie detail and a plaid shirt tied around her waist.
Looks like the perfect "school girl" kind of outfit. Also, it matches the sheets of the hotel they were staying in lol. She seemed to have a leather skirt and tights with this outfit.
This is quite a basic look but considering she's just at home, I think that's fine. She has this candy colored stripe shirt, leggings and a simple beige cardigan here.
This look is so reminiscent of 2012 when chunky oversized cardigans were everything. It's such a cozy look and I still like this style very much.
She's wearing a stripe shirt and knee slit jeans here. You don't see much of the bottom but we get a glimpse as she's seated here.
When she confronts Gen in the restroom, she's back in her red pea coat. She's layered a white blouse with a thin grey sweater and plaid tennis skirt. She does have mustard thigh high socks and platform oxfords.
Back at home, she trades the red jacket for her maroon cardigan. The movie ends with her back in the red coat again but with the same things underneath.
So after compiling everything, I have concluded that you basically can't go wrong with stripe shirts, mock necks and things with buttons.
